Orientation activities at other campuses

Sydney College of the Arts

Orientation for SCA students forms part of your academic program. The first week of lectures will be taken up with specifically designed activities aimed at introducing you to SCA campus life and the various facilities and studios – including health and safety requirements. You are also encouraged to attend the orientation festivities at the Camperdown and Darlington campuses in the week before lectures commence. For more information visit www.usyd.edu.au/sca.

The Sydney Conservatorium of Music

Orientation will be held on Monday 23 February from 9am to 4pm at the Conservatorium in Macquarie Street. You will be welcomed by the Dean and receive information on some key services and aspects of Conservatorium life. Activities include meeting student mentors, building and library tours, lunch and the opportunity to participate in guided visits to the Camperdown Campus.

Faculty of Health Sciences, Cumberland

Orientation Day for commencing students in the Faculty of Health Sciences will be held over two days: Wednesday 25 and Thursday 26 February 2009. Activities includes the Dean's welcome, orientation to your program, campus tours and plenty of opportunities to socialise with staff and fellow students over morning tea and lunch.

Information sessions on the library, computer labs and other essential services will give you the foundation needed to help you navigate University life for the next few years. Sign up for clubs and societies and be entertained by Campus Rewards.

Orientation will commence at 9am. Ask for your orientation flyer on enrolment day or check the Faculty's Orientation page. Further orientation activities are scheduled during the first week of lectures.

Important Note: Classes for some courses in 2009 will be held at both Cumberland and Camperdown Campuses. It is highly recommended that students enrolled in the below mentioned courses attend both Orientations.

  • Bachelor of Health Sciences/Master of Clinical Vision Sciences
  • Bachelor of Health Sciences/Master of Nursing
  • Bachelor of Health Sciences/Master of Rehabilitation Counselling

New international students will have their orientation in late January, with Study Preparation Program running from Monday 9 February to Friday 20 February. You need to register for this program at: Study Preparation Program
